Santa is coming to Poynton
Once again Poynton Round Table are making plans to leave the comfort of the pub and head out into the cold winter evenings to assist Santa around the streets of the Poynton. Elves drop Santa off every night at a secret location somewhere near the Poynton Community Centre (although no one can be sure). Once there, Santa is transferred onto the Poynton Round Table Sleigh and escorted through the streets bringing Christmas cheer and magic to the people of Poynton.
The big man will be visiting every street in Poynton between the Tuesday 1st December and Friday 18th December 2019 and will be at the Poynton Christmas Festival on Park Lane on the evening of Tuesday 1st December. You can find his full route schedule here.
Santa's elves will be collecting for local charities, groups and good causes (cash and cards taken), whilst Father Christmas will be getting advance notice of the children’s Christmas lists.

Santa visits Poynton on his refurbished Sleigh
During December Santa will be making his annual tour of the streets of Poynton, spreading Christmas cheer and collecting money with his Elves from the Round Table. His sleigh has been carefully and lovingly restored by the Poynton branch of Men in Sheds. The project has been overseen by Dominic Smith, Poynton Round Table who said, “It has been a wonderful opportunity to work with Men in Sheds who have gone the extra mile in refurbishing Santa’s Sleigh. They have worked tirelessly for 2 months and the outcome is that the sleigh now once again looks great and is good to go for several more years to come.” Speaking on behalf of Men in Sheds Carl Ruscoe commented, “Poynton Round table have supported our group during the past 12 months and being asked to refurbish the sleigh has been a real motivation for the Men in Sheds group.” To cap things off new lights and a new sound system have been installed by Tim Campling from Car and Home Stereo in Macclesfield.
Look out for Santa visiting your road during the month of December and please give generously as all donations will be given to local charities, groups and worthy causes. Find out more about the Poynton Round table at www.poyntonroundtable.co.uk
