Fundraising is at the very heart of what we do. The money we raise goes directly back into supporting local good causes, individuals, and community projects, making a real and lasting difference in Poynton and the surrounding area.
All of the funds we raise through the hard work of our volunteers and generosity of the local community are donated to a wide variety of causes including; Charities, Youth Groups, School PTA’s, Social Enterprises and Organisations.

How We Raise Money
Our events raise an average of £20,000 per year, allowing us to provide regular donations to worthwhile causes, as well as requested grants.
Poynton Bonfire & Fireworks
Our primary source of funds each year is the annual Poynton Bonfire and Fireworks Display. This flagship community event brings together thousands of local residents for a fantastic evening of entertainment.
All ticket sales and bar profits from the event are paid into our annual charitable trust fund. From there, the funds are distributed throughout the year to local charities, schools, community groups, and individuals in need. The success of this event is what enables us to provide meaningful financial support across the community.
Santa’s Sleigh Rounds
We also proudly continue the long-standing tradition of Santa’s Sleigh visiting the streets of Poynton each Christmas. This much-loved event not only spreads festive cheer to families and children, but also raises additional funds through generous donations from residents.
While the amounts raised through the sleigh rounds are smaller than the bonfire event, they are still greatly appreciated and play an important role in boosting our annual fundraising total. Just as importantly, the sleigh helps us stay connected with the community we serve.
