MedEquip4Kids at Macclesfield General Hospital, 2006
MedEquip4Kids presentation organised for Poynton Round Table at Macclesfield General Hospital on Thursday evening 2nd November 2006.
Last year we made MedEquip4Kids (the charity that helps children in and out of hospital) our headline charity for the bonfire. Due to the massive success we had at last year's event, we were able to buy not 1 but 2 incubators for the Children's Ward at Macclesfield General. These have been in use since April and have made a big difference in both improving the conditions for babies (and their parents as featured below) but also freeing up more time for the nurses to do other work as much less human monitoring and intervention is required. The hospital were hugely grateful for our contribution and representatives from Macc Express / Poynton Times were there so expect to see Poynton Round Table in the local paper soon; also our Chairman Chris Haresnape and MedEquip4Kids were interviewed by Silk FM.
Make no mistake, what we have achieved is massive, it was only possible as a PRT team effort. This year's 2006 bonfire was as every bit as successful as last year if not better (to be confirmed) so we can keep up the donations to all kinds of local worthy causes.
