Poynton and Hazel Grove Bonfire and Fireworks Night 2011 at Poynton Pool
The massive bonfire and fireworks extravaganza which is the Poynton and Hazel Grove (and South Manchester) charity event of the year is planned this year for the 5th November. It's a great evening out to have some fun and all in the name of great local causes. This year we are laying on even more live music to treat you... read on...

This years charity: We don't have a single charity that we are donating to, but never fear there are plenty of local good causes in the area that will benefit from donations well into 2011 Ticket prices:
Before the event:
Family ticket (2 adults plus up to 3 children/intermediates) £16.00
Adult (17 and over) £7.00
Intermediate (11-16 years) £4.00
Children (3-10 years) & Concessions (under 3's are free) £3.00
On the night:
Family ticket (2 adults plus up to 3 children/intermediates) £20.00

6.00pm The Poynton Commadores will be playing at the Civic Centre on Park Lane, they will then lead the procession to the Bonfire
6.30pm First band on the Scruff of the Neck Stage, The Majestix
6.30pm The bonfire will be lit to kick off the evening at Poynton Pool
7.00pm Kiddies firework display starts
7.15pm Second band on the Scruff of the Neck Stage, THE QUANGOS - www.myspace.com/thequangos (Original tunes + covers from The Beatles and other classics)
8.00pm Main firework display starts
8.20pm Third band on the Scruff of the Neck Stage, STILL CITY SOUND (from Poynton)
9.30pm Sites closes

As always, our aim is to give everybody an exciting evening of fun and entertainment, however safety of all those attending is our highest priority. At Poynton and Hazel Grove Round Table, we are very proud of our safety record and therefore sparklers or your own fireworks are not permitted at the event. Since Poynton and District Round Table formed in 1972 we have distributed many tens of thousands of pounds to the local community so please help us to have a record year and continue to make Poynton and Hazel Grove a great place to live! Last years money raised supported many local causes, the main beneficiary being Poynton first responders who were able to purchase a new quick response vehicle with the moneys donated from ourselves and Poynton Rotary Club. Staging the event always requires many people, and whilst all Round Tablers are duty bound to help, we are only a relatively small team and so we are always extremely grateful for any volunteers to help us on the big day. If you are interested, and are over 18, please send us an email. Please feel free to send us and email if you have any feedback and suggestions for how we can improve the event.
