Chairman’s Weekend 2005/06 – The Year of the Daffyd

23rd – 25th September 2005 Cardiff Bay

 

 

Each year we have a Chairman’s Weekend – basically an excuse for a lads weekend away. Previously we have been to such places as Nottingham, Dublin, Newcastle, etc., this year we are crossing over to the Land of my Fathers. These weekends are always a top laugh and a great way of bringing everyone together. They are also great for those considering joining to get to know the lads before deciding whether to take the plunge, so if you fancy it please give me a shout.

 

Itinerary

 

Friday 23rd September

 

Depart Poynton 9am

Arrive Cardiff Bay in God’s Own Country – Holiday Inn Express

4pm – Tour of Millennium Stadium

Night Out – either Cardiff Bay or Cardiff City Centre (probably Chinese buffet in Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff Bay and then around bars in the Bay, or head into centre after food)

 

Saturday 24th September

 

Depart Cardiff Bay

Arrive Porthcawl @ Ocean Quest

Water sports fun day, choice of any or all of the following:

 

·      Surfing

·      Bodyboarding

·      Sit-on-top kayaking

·      Waveski Riding

·      Scuba (certain times and dates)

·      Powerboating

·      Wakeboarding

·      Water-skiing

·      Kneeboarding

 

Marquee on beach can be provided for teas, coffees, lunch, etc. (and beer if you want)

Night Out – either Cardiff Bay or Cardiff City Centre (probably city centre as less than 1 mile from Bay – no taxi required!)

 

Sunday 25th September

 

10.30am Powerboat tour of Cardiff barrage and coast – instant hangover cure!

12.30pm Depart Cardiff Bay for Poynton

Arrive Poynton approx. 4pm

 

Total Cost (including all activities, breakfasts, dinners, and Saturday lunch) approx. £200.
